PRAYER REQUEST: I have been out of work for 13 months. I am seeking guidance from the Lord to help me to find the career that is best suited for my skills, aptitiude and interest. I am asking the Lord to impress upon me the right career path so I can focus on the plan that God has for me. PRAYER REQUEST: I have been out of work for a period of time and it has been very humbling and frustrating also. I am seeking God’s will for my life within my career path that will be rewarding and enoyable. I ask for the prayer support as I focus on the concentrated path that God has for me. PRAYER REQUEST: I’m a single, widowed mother who could no longer keep my life in balance working in a faced-paced corporate position. I left my job two years ago when my doctor told me that keeping up this pace was going to kill me. Thankfully, I had savings to fall back on. I’ve been able to recover my health some but need to get back to earning a living soon. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will guide me into finding a new career/vocation that allows me to keep the balance in my life.
PRAYER REQUEST: I’ve been out of work for more than a year. Savings are almost depleted. Job search has been fruitless thus far. Have been able to get some freelance jobs, but none on the horizon. I am a single mother, I am raising my three year old son. My first day of unemployed was Januray 1,2009. I stayed unemployed for six months, struggle with my unemployment. In July 2009, I got a call from a staffing service, which lead me to a job for three months. At that time I was going to a break up with my son fathers. I prayed and I put all problems and worries in God, and ask to handle that for me, because I have to be strong for my son. After my break up, I had to come live with my cousin, thank God for a roof being over me and my head. I have been working on one week assignment, I am working on and off. When I lay down at night,I pray ask God to send me a blessing in the form of a long-term or a permanent job. God know that I am down, and he is going to lead me in the right direction. Please pray for me as I grown stronger, better income, and continuing being a good mother.

PRAYER REQUEST: In the past two years I have gone through a divorce, loss of job, and home. But the good part is my faith in Jesus has become more real and much stronger. I am a new explorer on this program and have recently discovered what I really would like to do as a career! I have been in sales for 4 years but definitely don’t want to do it. I really enjoy working with people on a personal basis. The catch is my wife and I recently bought a house and I can’t really afford to just go study full time.
Please pray that I have the courage to believe God is bigger than all these obstacles and He wants me to be fulfilled in whatever He has planned for me.

PRAYER REQUEST: I just want you all to know I am praying for you, and for my husband and I. When you share your burdens with fellow Christians, you know you are under a covering of prayers. So many hurting people, but God isn’t taken by surprise by our difficulties. The first time we were without a job I learned a lot. Then for two years my husband was employed and earned good money again. Now, we are unemployed again so I guess we needed a refresher course in depending completely upon the Lord. My husband is thinking “outside the box” and has started a new business. But, there are no guarantees when you are self employed. No company paycheck coming every week or two. It is a real step of faith, and I am proud of him for trying. Your prayers would be appreciated.
PRAYER REQUEST: I stepped out in faith over 6 years ago and moved cross country to change careers and leave the company I’d been with for over 19 years. The first three years were great, but since the fall of 2006 my husband and I have had major medical issues and I’ve struggled with finding a decent job with a solid company.
I took a new job last fall, it ended up being a horrible situation and I was let go on the 22nd. I have a lot of experience and have an advanced degree. I’m trying not to get depressed, but need prayer and guidance on the job search.

PRAYER REQUEST: Reading all the needs of others is so depressing. We are all in such a needy time. My sweet husband just lost his job on Monday – the third job he has lost in 10 years. He has been a wonderful provider with excellerating responsibilities and salary for 30 years. Suddently, 10 years ago everything changed. God has blessed us, and we are out of debt. But, we are still young enough to need health insurance. And, of course, we still have living expenses. I am so grateful my husband had the foresight to see that we didn’t incur a lot of debt over the years, and I pray for those who are struggling with heavy debt while unemployed. For our family, I ask for prayer that I will be a good encourager of him during these days. We are blessed that I have a job, but not one that supplies health insurance. PRAYER REQUEST: Please, if God should place this request upon your hearts, would you be so generous as to pray for me and my 3 children. I am a single mom, divorced from divorce lawyer, who backed out of most all obligations, especially FINANCIAl. I have done it on my own for quite sometime now, and although it hasn’t been easy, with God’s help, I was able to make it to this point. Due to the nature of my family’s Real Estate business, I have a SEVERE loss of INCOME and am virtually, depleted of all money. I am asking for a divine Financial Miracle-a Blessing for either a few Commercial deals I am working on to come to fruition OR another means of income while I am waiting for the market to turn around. I cannot abandon my family. I have no other skills or degrees and no money to further advance myself. Quite honestly, I no longer have the energy either. I have tried to find something lucrative enough and with enough flexibility to still work real estate, but have yet to solidify anything. My heart’s desire is to do philanthropic works and I realize that I am not yet in the position to do so. I need to receive a minimum of $25,000 -$5,000 of that within the week. I have waited too long for a turnaround in this business and have caused myself extreme debt and need to pay mortgage which is past due, utilities and living expenses. PRAYER REQUEST: I am 61, have an MBA, have had several different types of jobs and now find myself unemployable. After a bout with cancer, i am left seriously in debt. I am feeling great and would be a real asset to an organization, but hundreds of resumes resulted in 3 interviews and no job offers. I have lost my home, living temporarily in different locations, and am about to lose hope. God has promised a plan for us. I seek his will. I have offered up whatever I have. I believe I am listening carefully everyday for his guidance but hear nothing.

PRAYER REQUEST: Prayer for my niece. She is getting out of an abusive relationship but it is difficult because she has 3 children and still needs to maintain a relationship for the children. PRAYER REQUEST: Lord, I pray that you will supply for my family’s financial needs at this difficult time. I have been laid off since October and have not yet been successful in finding other employment. My children do not have medical insurance; and my COBRA insurance expired on Dec 31, so I am also uninsured. My ex-husband is employed only part-time and is underemployed. I ask, Lord, that you help him find a good, steady job, in order to improve his own self-esteem and to allow him to meet his commitments to his family. (He is currently behind $25,000 in child support and unpaid medical expenses and this is having a tremendous impact on our family.) PRAYER REQUEST: I’ve been laid off since the end of February and my husband is disabled and unable to work. We have no insurance for me and my youngest daughter who is still living at home with us and my husband is on Medicaid. We’re trying to get him on disability too but it’s going to take some time. In addition to applying for jobs, I’ve also started watching a couple of kids to bring in extra $. We’ve recently been hit with two large and unexpected bills and we have a major bill due in January that we have no way of paying. I am feeling so overwhelmed. I don’t know what to do. Please pray that God will provide a job for me — preferably at home so that I will have the flexibility to drive my husband to/from his medical treatments 3X per week.

PRAYER REQUEST: I pray for my mother and father that they will submit to the doctor’s will and take their perscribed medications regularly. I believe that God has given them a good doctor and health insurance to cover the cost of the office visits and the medication. It is too much for me and my siblings to constantly have to argue and coax them into taking their medications for high blood pressure. I can tell when they are not taking the medication as perscribed because of the stress it causes in the family with their anger, outbursts, critical talk, and negative outlook on life.

PRAYER REQUEST: I need prayer. I live in a dysfunctional family. Our family is everything else but normal. Sometimes I tell myself that I am the perfect “anti soccer mom”. My husband is unsaved and thus he cannot nor does he want to pray with me for our needs. He is retired but I am working part time. Alas his small pension and what I make are not enough to cover the bills. Our needs are very modest and I am praying to you, God, that You would give me a full time job, a job that pays enough to pay our bills that keep piling up. A job so that I can reimburse all bank and credit card loans so that instead of paying for interest, that money goes for groceries! A job so that I can put some order in my life.

1. Year 2009 is very bad for us. We get a lot of financial shortage, problems etc. actually we started our family life here in Saudi since 2008. Now this 2009 is going to finish and again a new 2010 is arriving. I hope many pending issues will be clear. First of all please pray for a good upcoming year.
2. We blessed with a baby girl on last January 09. As of now she is completing ten months. But now a days she is getting sick always. Her ears always in pain with itching. Some time she is getting fever also. Myself and my wife are getting a lot of tension while our baby getting sickness. So please pray for our baby that be a healthy baby and give her a good new year.
3. As mention above, on this 2009, we get a lot of financial shortage of our life. Our salary are very low and everybody got good salary increment expect myself and my wife. We are praying and fasting a lot. But nothing show up. Due to financial shortage, we had cancel our vacation of 2009. We are looking not for a high salary increment or bank saving, at least meet our daily requirements even partially. We are the only supporter to our both family members at India. So please pray for a good year to come. Pray for this coming year 2010, that solve our all finical shortages and salary increments.
4. We are planning to go on vacation coming June 2010. Please pray for our vacation, we are planning to baptize our daughter on this vacation. Pray for a good vacation without any accident or problems.
5. Pray for my sister, she is a Bsc nurse and looking for a good job since last One year if she will with us here in Saudi, it will be more helpful for us. So please pray for her to get a good chance from Saudi Arabia.
6. Finally pray for our job and parents as well. Our family will helpless if we will lose our job. So our is required. I hope you will pray for us and we are hoping to get a very good New year with complete health and wealth.

PRAYER REQUEST: Hi i need prayer support to find my calling in christ but also to find out where i am to live and to find a new job according to God’s will and i need a financial blessing from God.
Please pray also for couple in India who got married last week and they live by his mother in a one room apartment. He is assistent pastor and youth pastor on no salary and that is not good. His wife has just moved to this town and she need to find a job soon so they have an income to get an apartment soon because not much in life is for free. They are spirit filled Christians and very much committed to the Lord. Please pray for freedom from fear in my life God bless you all.

PRAYER REQUEST: I have been unemployed for 3 months. I have a 3 year old and a 7 month old. Was fired after getting great reviews on my work. Like so many others, it came as a shock. I myself have turned into someone I don’t like. I have found myself unable to be the husband and father my family needs me to be.

PRAYER REQUEST: I have been very prideful and veered away from God in the last few years. Now that I am on the verge of complete financial ruin, I have asked for his help. I feel very ashamed to ask for his help when I have turned my back on him during the prosperous times.

PRAYER REQUEST: Please, Lord Jesus, help me excel in your glory and grace. I have been unemployed for over 3 years. My family has been helping me financially for a long time, and I have paid the price for the help with my self-respect, and self-esteem. My dad died last summer of stage IV pancreatic cancer, and my mother has been even more demeaning and insulting to me with being unemployed. She often compared me to my peers in the community, making innuendos, snide remarks about being employed. I have been studying for the National Counselor Exam, taking it in December, and I haven’t had much focus to study the material. My aunt moved into a memory care facility last month, and I feel guilty because I just can’t visit her at this time. She can’t engage in a conversation, and is extremely difficult to understand. Jesus, I need help. The holidays are vastly approaching and I can’t take another Christmas at my mom’s house being the scapegoat because I don’t have a job, pretending to be something I’m not, with a certain relative and his wife inviting themselves to dinner, and not even offering to help with my aunt or my mom. Then, I’m expected to answer his questions like we’re on 60 Minutes. Jesus, please give the right job with the right people at the right time. Help me Father God to pass my NCE exam on the first try, December 11.

PRAYER REQUEST: I have been out of work for four months, last month I thought I had a chance to join a small company based out of Salt Lake. I traveled out there to meet the CEO and CTO, spent the day interviewing and presenting to them and they were very enthusiastic about hiring me and made a tentative offer and plan. Unfortunately since then they have gone silent on me and I have to move on.
I have another local opportunity that has come up and I pray that God will bless me with this job instead. We are completely broke, behind on our car payment and rent is due in a few days. My unemployment will not be enough to cover even half the bills, if I can start this new job by the 2nd week of October I will be able to get back on my feet and support the family. Our home is in danger of going to foreclosure if we don’t get caught up on our payments soon. My husband was hospitilized, lost his job, so we fell behind many other bills as well. PRAYER REQUEST: After spending all my life in the corporate world (30 years) I was impacted by an organization restructuring at the end of March. My severance runs out in September. I have been looking, since the first Monday after being impacted and I am hearing very little from my submitted resume (professionally done). The contract work I’ve been submitted for – I never hear back. I don’t know what is going to happen in my life, but I need your prayers. I do have faith, but I get afraid when I look at the facts surrounding all this. I have worked so hard all my life, and I could lose everything. I feel so alone right now even though I KNOW God is near. It kinda makes you feel unloved though. I need prayers that I don’t slip any further into depression, and that God will deliver me and bless me with a job where I can continue to pay the people I owe. PRAYER REQUEST: I’ve been looking for a job now for over a year. I’ve used all my savings and almost all my IRA. I know God has a job for me, and I am praying He will reveal it soon. I am blessed because God is my Provider.
PRAYER REQUEST: Pray for encouragement and solid job leads since I have been out of work for several months now. I pray that this recession ends soon and opportunities open up for all that are struggling at this time. I am having a difficult time staying positive.
PRAYER REQUEST: Prayer for peace during this time of uncertainty with my job search. Prayer for my friends to step up to provide emotional support. Prayer for a job soon. Many directions, one path. Make sure I am on the right path.
PRAISE REPORT: Praise God! An unexpected assessment result turned into a great job!
I volunteer with Crossroads at my church and was preparing for the discussion of Step 2- Aptitude. I enrolled in Career-Direct so I could share the experience with the group. The results surprised me, pointing me to a path I was on ten years ago but had abandoned. A fellow Crossroads volunteer encouraged me to check into a local company that used to be a competitor. Intrigued, I used the search tool and discovered an open position that really fit me. Four intense weeks later, I started a great new career!
Be encouraged! God is faithful and present in this ministry!
PRAYER REQUEST: I was downsized along with 300 others in late October. Even after back surgery on Christmas Eve, things were still positive. Please pray that I will not be discouraged as I struggle with depression. Finances are very low, and I am asking for a great new job that I love. Thank you for praying for me and all of us who are out of work.
PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for:
1. Connections to full-time work soon. After 7+ mos. of searching, really getting winded. I teach job search at Crossroads and for VERY part-time work at an outplacement co.
2. Resiliency; ability to “bounce back” when daily routine is fraught with rejects/unreturned phone calls, emails, etc. Extends even to Christians/ contacts at church. Everyone seems too busy to listen, help.
3. Relationship w/ my wife, 2 children. Both are usually strained at this season.
4. My self-esteem. God seems silent & I feel like a loser most days, not His chosen and beloved. His silence seems like punishment.
5. Faith to believe that the things I’m doing, helping with ARE the right things and that God will bless my efforts.
6. That I will see the lessons God wants me to learn through this season; dare I ask once and for all?!

PRAYER REQUEST: Dear, please pray for me so i can get the job in Singapore, the job that i want and been waiting for, so i can earn the money for my family, so i can cure my father, because he is ill, now. Thanks for praying for me. God bless you.
PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for the Portuguese Crossroad Career Ministry “ProCura” which started so promising an June 5th in Cascais. That the Lord may touch the hearts of the church pastors to cooperate and providing needed staff to make the ministry growing – to exalt HIS name and help the people who need it.
PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for strength for my ex-husband as he job hunts. Please don’t let the rejections he has received harm his self esteem. Please let his potential employers understand that he left his previous position for good reasons and that he would be an asset to their company. I ask that He provide patience and love during this stressful time and that good news will be heard soon.
PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for the good health, protection … that my marriage is blessed and survives all the trials and tribulations that come with it. I also request prayers for my family’s finances. My husband and are debt ridden and pray that we are delivered from debt, financial worries and constraints, our house is saved from repossession, our businesses that we have just started thrive, are successful and attract the right kind of clients and that we secure better paying jobs with better benefits … I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen
PRAYER REQUEST: At 45 I am still largely clueless about His calling on my life.

PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for me to continue to have strength during my job search! It is easy to lose interest. And a special prayer to everyone who is in the same situation as myself. Praise God for challenges as it makes us all stronger in heart and spirit.
PRAYER REQUEST: Pray for the career explorers who will be attending the Crossroads career course at Hales Corners Lutheran beginning on July 9th and for the 2 facilitators, Bob & Shelly who will be leading the course.

PRAYER REQUEST: Pray for encouragement and direction as I have been searching for employment for several months but have several areas of interest.
PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for my family. In the last 1-1/2 years, I’ve lost my husband of 25+ years to cancer, my son has been sent to prison for at least 5 years, and I’ve lost my job and been out of work for 1 year. I have two wonderful children who need their mom. Please pray that I not be so bitter and angry; for strength; for my son’s well-being; and, for my daughter, who is enduring it all… Bless you from you the bottom of my heart!
PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for my family members who are in the search mode, that Christ will draw them nearer to Him, and in turn they will find the RIGHT work for them. Bless you, and thanks for the ministry!!
PRAYER REQUEST: My uncle is suffering through the final stage of brain and lung cancer with only only weeks to live. My prayer is that God will take him before the pain becomes too much for him to stand. I also wish to pray for his wife, children, and grandchildren that he leaves behind. Last, I pray for myself because I love him like a father and I miss him already. I will spend the day with him on Wednesday ,and I pray that I am strong during this time, and that we enjoy what may possibly be our last day together.
