Church Volunteers Meet to Get Americans Back to Work
Susan Whitcomb, Creator of the Nation’s Leading Career Coach Certification Program, Speaks at Crossroads Career Leaders Conference
ATLANTA, GA (October 11, 2011) – With unemployment holding at 9.1 percent, career ministries need to remain current with new and innovative techniques on how to help people find jobs. Crossroads Career Network (CCN), a national community of churches providing faith-based, job search and career transition resources, will be sharing this information and holding leadership development sessions during its annual Leaders Conference on Friday October 14, 2011 to Saturday October 15, 2011 at Mount Paran Church in Atlanta, GA.
With a renewed vision for Crossroads Career Network, the 2011 Leaders Conference will focus on Upward, Inward, Outword as it looks to be a thriving, Christ-centered community that helps everyone find jobs, careers and God’s calling. The sessions will concentrate on the three main areas:
- Upward: Loving God completely, led by speaker/author of Grace Walk, Steve McVey
- Inward: Loving ourselves correctly, led by pastor/author of Repurposing Your Life, David Cooper
- Outward: Loving our neighbors compassionately, led by Susan Whitcomb and CCN leaders
“This year’s conference aims to put more tools and resources into the hands of our ministry leaders and teams. We want them to not only hit the ground running, but to be a few steps ahead so they can effectively address the challenges and opportunities today’s career explorers and jobseekers face,” says Brian Ray, Founder of Crossroads Career Network.
“I am excited to have Susan Whitcomb, a respected certified career coach, author and speaker, on our speaker roster. Throughout the conference, Susan and our other guest speakers will inform, educate and encourage attendees on specific steps they can implement in their local market. Each attendee should walk away with a powerful action-item list, along with the knowledge and resources to make it happen.”
