Do Not Be Fooled

Be Who You Be

You are God’s workmanship and masterpiece. Created in Christ Jesus for good works. Which God prepared beforehand that you would walk in them.

You are not to be a better version of your mom or dad, your heroes or zeros, your competitors or companions. You cannot be whoever you want. Nor do whatever you wish. Nor necessarily get rich and famous.

You can be everything God made you to be.

The Final Fours

Last night’s episode of American Idol’s Final Season featured the Final Four – Dalton, La’Porsha, MacKenzie and Trent – each performing uniquely what they did best. Now there are three. Next week, only one.

Tomorrow night, the road to the Final Four of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Tournament arrives on the court in Houston – Villanova versus Oklahoma and Syracuse versus North Carolina.   It should be a great exhibition of how teams work.  Two will advance.  Next week, only one will win.

In every world-class competition – be it sports, entertainment, politics or war – only one wins. The rest lose. In the kingdom of heaven, everyone wins.

Therefore, Be Careful

Don’t be fooled.  Be who you be.  Run the race set before you.  Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith.

Therefore be careful how you walk,

not as unwise men but as wise,

making the most of your time,

because the days are evil.

So then do not be foolish, but

understand what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:15-17
