Tis the season to be jolly, but not for everyone.
Good News from Sonna!
After career group and coaching meetings at my church, Sonna sent this happy note…
“I had my second and third interview Monday and Tuesday. It was the virtual remote part-time controller position working from home. I was offered the job Wednesday. I begin December 5.
I am excited about this position. I will get the week of Christmas off since my kids are going to be home.
I really appreciate all the time and Godly guidance and Christian love that you have shown to me.
I need to keep trusting that FAITH is about being okay no matter how things turn out. That HE has a plan.
Need your prayers in this as I am struggling at times. Thank you so much for all you have done for me!”
Thank You, God, for this story of a triple blessing— a new job, more of Jesus for Sonna—and the joy of my serving on the career ministry team.
How many more are there to help and give hope!
Year-round Wants and Needs
The #1 thing most people want is a good job. Of the five highest felt needs (family, friends, health, wealth and work), the greatest of these is a way to make a living. If someone is not working, then nothing works well.
The #1 Person everyone needs is Jesus, because in Him there is life abundantly and eternally. Seeking a good job or developing career actually starts with Jesus, because He created us for good works.
To see the Church at work, imagine a catalytic career ministry of evangelism, discipleship and care with the twin-engine mission that everyone gets a good job and Christ Jesus.
Next year will mark 30 years of people helping people find jobs and Jesus through Crossroads Career Network.
Of the 73 churches and ministries that are members of the Crossroads Career Network, 99% of the ministry teammates are volunteering to help people seeking jobs, careers and God’s calling. More than 50,000 people registered on our website seeking jobs, careers, God’s calling and/or wanting to help or hire. More than 200 job and career resources await those who register.
Our prayer is to faithfully steward what God has given – both resources and people. Is God calling you to share your time, talents and/or treasure to help people find jobs and Jesus?
Perhaps you would like to volunteer. We are not only seeking pastors and ministry leaders interested in starting or joining a career ministry in their church, but also support services teammates — social media experts, administrative coordinators and prayer warriors. For more info, email us.
