Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.

God stories are the lifeblood of any ministry and the Crossroads Career ministry is no different.

God stories are not to be missed and are crucial for life. They provide encouragement, hope, purpose and inspiration. These are needed for job seekers, employers and leaders.

As a job seeker, searching for the right job, career and God’s calling can be a long and winding road.

For the employer, it isn’t a cakewalk finding the right person for the right seat on your company bus.

As a volunteer in ministry, God stories help us remember why we are serving and can propel sacrificial involvement for another day, week or even year.

Yes, God stories are indisputably vital to growth in all things. After all, it is God who made all things and causes all things to grow, especially our jobs, careers and calling!

So this week and in weeks to come, we want to spotlight, highlight and celebrate the work that God is doing through God stories. So, stop and look around and notice the miracles God is performing. Your breakthrough is coming too!

Here’s a great one about being prayerful in your job search…

Thank you for starting the Ministry!!!! It is much needed, and I have had great results from your efforts.

I first came to GFC because a friend of mine told me that I would be attending a network event. At the time I thought it would be a one-night shot. Well I won the door prize! It was a book called Intentional Living by John C Maxwell. I took it as a sign to attend the ministry program because I had been stuck with my job.

I loved the “[1-800-Dear-God]” page in the Crossroads Career workbook as it was a place to turn to when I needed extra words of wisdom. My group was amazing. I learned to pray before important situations. I would pray that the meeting result would be beneficial and good for both the people I was meeting and me. It took me a while to find a job but when I started praying that the results would be good for me and others I would be working with the offer came.

  1. It was not until my wife and I BOTH went through counseling and took various tests (Myers-Briggs, DICS, Strength Finder 2.0) that my wife and I realized that the adage, “opposites attract,” became SO clear to us. It was then that we actually began to REALLY look at each of our God-given talents and skills and saw that we had to work TOGETHER and find a THIRD WAY with each of our different viewpoints. This also meant how we find and develop our careers.

This also meant the that we learned from our parents, finding JOBS and working until we retire, became a “less than” view of what we could do for God. We NOW see that our talents need to be used to CREATE WEALTH and then, not GIVE our wealth away, but CREATE MORE BUSINESSES from our wealth.

It all came from my discovery of what I found in the parable of the talents. Truly eye opening about how Jesus talked about wealth in the context of business.
